Purpose of this position:
Take the lead in responding to technical enquiry from Internal Sales Team in Malaysia, with regard to supplying industrial gases to end users via various gases Bulk Tanks and Hydrogen (H2) tube trailers.

Principal responsibilities:
– Design of supply system, based on an agreed supply mode with Internal Sales Team.
– Coordinate with Internal Sales Team and customers to seek clarification and understanding on technical requirements.
– Review Bid/ Tender Documents and ascertain client’s requirements.
– Prepare the respective technical proposal, drawings (such as P&ID, GA drawings, layout drawings, and isometric drawings), and technical presentation.
– Prepare cost sheet for Internal Sales Team, to whom will work on commercial proposal.
– Conduct material/ contractor sourcing for costing and internal proposal preparation, work closely with the Buyers to ensure most cost-competitive design.
– Prepare Bid Documents and assist Buyers on RFQ to potential suppliers/ contractors.
– Evaluate the technical & commercial submission of contractors and material suppliers.
– Take the lead in all project presales activities, including engineering, design calculation, proposal preparation, attending technical clarification meetings, costing/ budgeting, resources/ manpower allocation, equipment selection and procurement, attending kick-off meeting and project progress/ review meeting and etc.
– Ensure the design of the system is in compliance with company’s Standards, statutory regulations, and applicable codes/ accepted engineering practices.
– Ensure design is safe to be executed in the field.
– Ensure all designs to include and cover directives from regional and global team.
– Provide engineering and technical know-how support to other team members and participate in project execution when required.
– Conduct audit on completed installation and ensure project closure document are available and saved in project depository.
– Lead and manage project, with support from Supervisor, Fitter, and Contractor.
– Collaborate with SHEQ personnel in order to address, administer, and implement related safety agenda in terms of project management.

Required key skills (functional/technical):
-Strong Written & Verbal Communication Skills.
-Possess technical knowledge in the supply chain of PG&P, such as the design of cylinder manifold, pallet manifold, gas distribution piping, trailer decanting manifold, mixers, etc.
-Well-verse in using engineering software, such as pipe sizing software, etc.
-Proactive/ takes Initiative in problem solving.
-Well-verse in MS Office, MS Project, SAP, and AutoCAD.
-Good in documentation.

Required qualifications/experience:
-More than 2 years of experience in industrial gases operations, particularly in C&MES and Bulk.
-Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
-Willing to travel around Malaysia, inclusive of East Malaysia.
