Job Description

-

The Sales Manager is responsible in identifying and securing NEW business opportunities as well as managing and nurturing EXISITING client relationships. He/She needs to work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring satisfaction, customer retention, and revenue growth for the Company based on the solution offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Revenue Growth (50% of KPI weightage)
    • Identify and pursue with sell, upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase revenue from new and existing clients.
    • Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets.
    • Acquire new clients and expand the client portfolio through prospecting, networking, and cold-calling.
  2. Client Relationship Management (30% of KPI weightage)
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.
    • Understand client needs, goals, and challenges to offer solutions that meet or exceed their expectation.
  3. Contract and Agreement Management (20% of KPI weightage)
    • Negotiate and finalize pricing, contracts, agreements, and service-level agreements with clients.
    • Ensure pricing and contract terms and conditions are adhered to by both parties.

Other Responsibilities: 

  1. Product Knowledge
    • Stay updated on the company’s products or services to effectively communicate their value to clients.
    • Provide product explanation or arrange demonstrations or product updates to clients when necessary.
  2. Market Research
    • Keep informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
    • Use market knowledge to identify new business opportunities and threats.
  3. Data Analysis
    • Analyze sales and client data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Use data to make informed decisions and recommendations to clients.
  4. Client Feedback and Satisfaction
    • Gather client feedback and relay it to relevant internal teams for product or service improvements.
    • Monitor client satisfaction and take actions to address any issues or concerns.
  5. Reporting :
    • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts to the sales management team and present during sales meeting.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience in sales and account management, particularly in the industry relevant to the position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
  • A deep understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and client needs.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings when required.
  • Depending on the industry, additional qualifications or certifications may be necessary (e.g., certifications in specific software or services).
