Purpose of the position: 

• To lead and provide all the process/engineering design proposed solutions for process improvement/ productivity for all type of industrial gaseous plants in ROC for RSE region.
• To lead and conduct site commissioning activities on those new improvement projects as required.
• To lead/support new plant commissioning activities at sites before rolling into ROC when necessary.
• – Support Project Operation Lead (POL) role for defined cryogenic plants to ensure that all operation related learnings and engineering issues are not recurring, that LGSR standards are implemented in new plants. To be fully taking over this POL role for RSE in next 2 years timeline.

Principal responsibilities: 

• Responsible to lead and provide all the process/engineering design proposed solutions for process improvement for productivity for all type of industrial gaseous plants in ROC for RSE region.
• Active engagement in plant optimisation exercises by doing plant reviews independently. Participate in the Performance team reviews carried out for selected plants when needed
• Ensure that plants queries related to design and engineering are resolved by providing process simulations/calculations and resolve any discrepancies. Focal point to engage with people in Engineering division or APAC/ Global Center of Excellence for providing engineering solutions.
• Support process related troubleshooting issues in RSE plants and also assist other streams to ensure plant uptime is high supporting all availability reliability issue.
• Act as process design and engineering SME and willing to travel to plants to share hands on experience and knowledge to the on-site plant personnel (<50% of travel time is required)
• Responsible to conduct site commissioning activities on those new improvement projects identified and or support the changes in field when required.
• Be a Reviewer of MOCs for RSE plants and ensure good quality of MOC for all plant process and engineering related changes. Where required engage with people in Engineering division or APAC/ Global Center of Excellence for quality of MOC
• Responsible to lead/support new plant commissioning activities (as ROC representative) at sites before rolling into ROC.
• Act as the subject matter expert on Process/Engineering Design for industrial gases plants particularly on cryogenic plants.
• Support Project Operation Lead (POL) role for defined cryogenic plants and is responsible to carry out the role of POL as needed in next 2 year timeline
• Closely work with ROC Ops Managers and other functional heads particularly on process improvement/performance agenda
• Train and improve plant people skills in process side by training and hand holding to ensure skills development
• Developing tools for simple process loop analysis and time to time ensuing that the global tools are understood and implemented in RSE.
• Engage with other skills leads (Elect /Mech/Inst/Automation) as required to ensure plant reliability is maintained and process side is understood properly by these skills.

• Internal – ROC, Regional Operations and APAC team, Heads of On-site Operations, Area Managers, Project Execution team, CoE APAC/Global, SMEs
• External -Customers, consultants, vendors

Required qualifications/experience: 

• Minimum of 10-year experience in industrial gas operations/process design/LGSR standards and background as well as data and performance system for Linde
• Subject Matter Expert for industrial gases process design/POL is an added advantage
• University degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial engineering
• Good knowledge and experience in the field of industrial gas operations particularly in cryogenic plants (ASU/CO2/N2 Gen/LNG)

 Required key skills (functional/technical): 

• Have in depth technical competency/knowledge in Industrial gas plants process design/engineering and its operations
• Have hands on plant commissioning experience
• Have hands on plant improvement projects execution experience and able to handle multiple projects at one time
• Have sound knowledge in LGSR or equivalent standards
• Have some knowledge of Instrumentation Process Control system knowledge, data and plant performance system would be an added advantage
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have good people skill

• Fluent in English
