Job Description
-
- Deliver high-quality macroeconomic analysis in key markets of the the Company’s international business regularly. Contribute to short, quick reactive pieces, and in longer-term in-depth analysis and briefings on economic matters that have a direct impact on cross-border investment, trade, travel, etc.
- Play a central role in monitoring country-level policy developments, evaluate and effectively communicate with the internal and external stakeholders on key legislative, policy, and regulatory efforts across our key markets and sectors. Work closely with local country-based colleagues to understand and identify its impact on our business globally.
- Manage key industry-level policy/sustainability-related reports by multinational organizations, like the FSB, BIS, IMF, WEF etc, to understand its influence on policy directions.
- Maintain and expand a large and high-quality network of contacts through academic and think tanks, local government agencies, businesses, and other thought leaders
- Work closely with our internal Business Intelligence, and Strategic Planning teams to generate business briefings for governmental engagement on a bi-annual
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, law, international relationship or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in policy analysis, consultancy, or policy advocacy-related efforts or substantial experience in working and engaging with policymakers, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in financial and technology-related businesses.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Chinese speaking is preferred).
- Experience in delivering high-quality policy analysis. Demonstrated experience in concise and effective written and spoken communications
- Substantive training or understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape in relation to cross-border digital payments and fintech services is preferred.
- Highly motivated self-starter and quick learner with excellent project management skills
- Effective communication skills to convince and create mutual understanding
- A team player who inspires confidence in people and draws no boundaries in what she/he does
- Impeccable degree of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics.
