Job Description
-
- To manage all export and import shipments.
- To negotiate transportation and handling costs.
- To deal with shippers/ consignees’ requirements.
- To deal with truckers and customs clearance brokers.
- To verify / update vendors’ and agents’ invoices.
- To handle invoices with clients and finance department.
- To perform quality controls by ensuring all goods received and shipped are aligned withspecification and quality requirements.
- To communicate with relevant parties to ensure delivery times are met.
- To communicate any changes in the deliveries to all relevant parties and follow up on interruptions to the deliveries.
- To lead and develop operations team.
- To perform any other tasks as and when required.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of concrete working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Sound knowledge in Air Freight business.
- Excellent ability to make effective analysis, discover gaps and define necessary actions.
- Results driven.
- Excellent negotiation, planning and organizational skills.
- Good computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Good written and verbal communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.
- Proactive, meticulous, team player, initiative with positive work attitude.
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
