Job Description
-
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, including inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating components, and replacing worn or defective parts as needed.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is functioning at optimal levels.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems that arise with equipment or machinery, and develop effective solutions to fix issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement, such as implementing new technologies or upgrading existing systems.
- Coordinate with production and operations personnel to schedule maintenance activities, minimize disruptions to production, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance, and update equipment manuals and schematics as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment vendors and suppliers to stay up-to-date on new technologies and replacement parts, and ensure timely delivery of necessary supplies.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and protocols, and develop and implement safety policies and procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and production, to identify and implement process improvements that can enhance equipment performance and reduce costs.
Requirements
-
- Diploma and above in relevant studies is preferred or relevant technical qualification
- Relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing plant
- Familiar with extrusion machines and other relevant peripheral equipment
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
- In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
- Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
- The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- The ability to work under pressure.
