Finance Manager (Professional Services firm in KL)

Job Description



  • Report and work closely with General Manager to lead and run the Finance operations.
  • Liaise with various consultants, such as tax agents, external auditors and company secretaries.
  • Attend to scheduled and unscheduled financial reporting and tax submissions.
  • Supervise AR, AP, GL, FA, inventory, costing and other financial reconciliation.
  • Work closely with talent management on payroll, claims and all other personnel and statutory payments.
  • Management of trust accounts.
  • Liaise with banks on banking facilities and foreign currency transactions.
  • Continuous improvement of the financial process.
  • Other tasks as assigned.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or Finance; or holds professional certification in accounting i.e. ACCA, MIA or CPA Qualified
  • At least 8-10 years of working experience in finance, preferably as a Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Strong knowledge in accounting fundamentals
  • Familiarity with various regulations, including but not limited to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act, Partnership Act 1961 and Income Tax Act 1967.
  • Able to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
  • Able to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as CoreMatter, iManage etc.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Dynamic and enterprising self-starter with excellent business partnering skills, who is mature, independent and willing to be hands-on.
  • Prior working experience in a lean and start-up environment is a plus
  • Proven effective team player with excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex technical information to a range of audiences
