Job Purpose:

Plan, manage, support and improve the Company’s database and services which includes the Company’s trading system, Office Automation system and internet.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Database Planning & Support

• Manage and support the Oracle, Microsoft SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL including database installation, upgrade, performance tuning and optimization, develop or update or enhance scripts used for daily repetitive and mundane task to ease and automate service operations (Shell script/Windows Batch);
• Identify gaps/ shortfalls/ inefficiencies, recommend and develop improvements in database design, operations and processes, as well as capacity planning and management;
• Acts as the subject matter expert to support on highly complex database related incidents, problems and security matters;
• Support and Maintain the databases including troubleshooting, performance planning, capacity planning, continuity planning and database security; and
• Participate in any projects and new initiatives related to IT Infrastructure services, BCP and Mock run.

2) Continuation

• Ensure checklist and prepare RDBMS all documentation, procedures and operational manual for effective planning reference, control and operational standards.
• Manage and implement Service and Change request from internal and external users.
• Manage the SLA, update in license management, periodic preventive maintenance, database capacity, bug fixes, patches and planned events to ensure the system availability.
