Job Description

- Manage the accounts payable function, overseeing a team of professionals and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable payment terms and resolving any discrepancies.
- Develop, implement, and enforce accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor and review accounts payable aging reports, identifying and addressing delinquent payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline the procurement process, improve invoice accuracy, and optimize vendor relations.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Prepare regular reports and analyses to provide insights into accounts payable performance, cash flow management, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the annual financial audit process, providing accurate and organized records.
- Stay up to date with financial regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Train and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record in managing a team and complex financial operations.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for effective communication with international vendors and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with vendors and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
