Job Description

  1. Manage the accounts payable function, overseeing a team of professionals and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable payment terms and resolving any discrepancies.
  3. Develop, implement, and enforce accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  4. Monitor and review accounts payable aging reports, identifying and addressing delinquent payments.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to streamline the procurement process, improve invoice accuracy, and optimize vendor relations.
  6. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  7. Prepare regular reports and analyses to provide insights into accounts payable performance, cash flow management, and cost-saving opportunities.
  8. Assist in the annual financial audit process, providing accurate and organized records.
  9. Stay up to date with financial regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance at all times.
  10. Train and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering their professional development and growth.

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record in managing a team and complex financial operations.
  3. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for effective communication with international vendors and stakeholders.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and identify trends.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  6. Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with vendors and collaborate with colleagues.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  9. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
