Job Description



(1) Plan, Develop and Execute testing strategies/plans

  • Plan and convert the requirements and design documents into a set of testing cases.
  • Involved in hands-on test cases, executing and enforce testing plans.
  • Creation and maintenance of tests for functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Continuous monitoring and execution of tests and providing the results.
  • Development of test cases for different technologies like web UIs, services, databases, etc.
  • Wide knowledge of latest testing technologies, manage to understand client’s needs and propose testing approaches.
  • Moderate to the high-level understanding of how mobile apps and websites work and test, understanding of API and relational databases.
  • Perform or assist in SIT, UAT – when need be.

(2) Lead and Manage

  • To lead projects in the planning, maintenance, execution, timelines, schedules, effort estimations and reporting also the automated tests.
  • Able to communicate proactively and effectively to enable cross-team collaborations.
  • Work directly with software developers and project management to form cohesive goals.
  • Provide resource planning and allocation for testing activities based on the project timeline and milestone to make sure test activities execution smoothly.
  • Manage the workflows, test plans & strategies within the expected project timeline.
  • Provide guidance and support & training to users.
  • Following up the defect closure.

(3) Report and Review

  • Reviewing the test & reports, ensure all the software development work such as progress, library, test cases are documented structurally.
  • Analyses software test results and recommends a course of action, if necessary, to ensure that performance standards demanded by the organization are maintained.
  • Define and distribute a series of daily status reports / progressive reports for the test result to all stake holders.
  • Use of management tools (ALM QC, JIRA, test management tools) to manage, execute and collect test results



  • Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • 5 years of technical coursework and/or cumulative years of QA experience working with a technical team.
  • Strong ability to create flexible and reusable test cases that can cover a wide range of use cases and edge cases.
  • Oral and written communication skills are key, especially when dealing with our users, stakeholders and project team members.
  • Well versed in designing the test approach of multiple products. Positive working attitude and able to work independently in a team environment.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to demonstrate high levels of customer service.
  • Experience in Micro Focus ALM QC, Jira will be added advantage.
  • You understand that testing thoroughly is the key to providing the best opportunity for multiple teams to succeed. You are comfortable working with other teams to understand common pain points and incorporate them into new test scenarios.
  • You have empathy for your users (and your co-workers) and high emotional intelligence.
  • Creation and maintenance of tests for functional and non-functional requirements.
